Week 9, Number 21
I now know what a podcast is! I didn't know that it was only audio and was looking for the picture! At first I looked for podcasts on knitting. That didn't work because you really need to see the patterns. Then I discovered the National Geographic Walking Tours. I can see that they could be useful in my travels. I created a feed on Bloglines. Then with lots of help, I was able to put a link on my blog. Do you see it? My kids will be so proud of me!!!!!
Week 9, Number 20
This week I played with YouTube. Some videos were funny, some were gross, and some were a total waste of time. I chose "A pitbull and chicks" to share, because I think pitbulls get a bad rap! It's their crazy humans who make them aggressive.

Week 8, Number 19
Today I went to the Web2.0 Awards page. Since I like to travel I focused on City Guides and Reviews. I went to the top winner Yelp.com and explored. I often look for gluten free foods in the cities I travel to. I was able to get some health food stores and restaurants in some of the cities I explored. Often there were comments posted on these too. I can see this being helpful when I travel.

Week 8 Number 18
I went in to Google Docs and Spreadsheets. I made a spreadsheet of books I have read. It was just like using a Word doc. I didn't publish it because the comments were my personal opinions and I didn't want any authors coming back to me! If you want to know what books I liked, just ask! Heck, I'm on the "Do not call list" because I don't want unwelcome strangers invading my private time so I'm not ready to put myself out for the world to criticize!

Week 7 Number 17
OK. So I added an entry to the Learning 2.0 Sandbox wiki. Now everyone can see my boring blog. I do not like being this accessible on the internet.
Week 7 Number 16
We use wikis to share information and files. Groups of people can share and edit information on the same web page. At our library we use wikis on our staff Intranet to post minutes of meetings. It's a great way for groups to share ideas.

Week 6 Number 15
I think I'm just starting to get the idea of LIbrary2.0 and then I go on to read that there will be a Library 3.0 (3-D) then even a library 4.0. I get frustrated that when I learn some new technology before it can sink into this thick skull it's already obsolete!!!!! I have a headache!!!!
Week 6 Number 14
At first my mind was boggled because there was just TOO much information. But I thought I would try a search on Technorati. During a recent trip to Alaska I was able to purchase some quiviut ( yarn made from the underfur of a musk ox). I have been looking for a pattern to make a smoke ring scarf. Lo and behold I found two! While I am not yet ready to post my blogs it was fun to see what other knitters are saying. However it takes time to sift through all the junk!
Week 6 Number 13
I can see how Del.icio.us can help organize bookmarks. There are times when I'd like to get to my bookmarks from an outside machine. But I'm just not ready to put it all out there for everyone to see "especially when I saw that habit #5 was "Stalk other users" Yikes! This all scares me!!!!!!

Week 5 Number 12
I created a Rollyo account and created a search roll for reference sites. Perhaps some day this will prove to be useful. I'll have to play around with it a bit more!
